Yesterday I said goodbye to my grandparents. My grandma told me about the time my mom came to America for the first time from the Philippines. She left everything that she knew to come here to give me a better life. She was so scared but so brave. My mom is my hero. My family in general is awesome. I am really lucky to have a supportive family.
Today I said goodbye to Pirahna. I didn’t think I’d be so sad over a dumb little cat. A friend said to me “Pirahna will be happier with people who will spend a bunch of time with him though so you should feel good because you’re doing the right thing.”
The past two days have been intense. But I’ve also been writing a lot of stories. So I’m just going to go with it and allow myself to feel every feeling that overcomes me.

This week has been full of appointments. I went to the gyno, the dermatologist, got a regular physical and a tattoo in the past 72 hours. I’ve been probed and prodded a lot.
My friends threw me a going away party last night. It was really great and incredibly special to me that they did that. I have been really enjoying the quality time I’ve been spending with people lately. Everyday for the past week I’ve gotten teary-eyed when I stop to realize how lucky I am.
Right now I’m teary-eyed because I’m fucking tired!

I almost forgot to post a photo/recap today!! Today was my last day at work in the office. My boss took us all out for lunch at Indochine. When I road my bike home from work, I stopped at Castle and 3rd thinking “this is the last time I’m going to do this ride”
Today I also played paintball with some friends. It was pretty fun! First time playing and definitely not the last.
Okay i’m tired goodnight.

Today is the last day I’ll have access to Internet for the next few days but I’ll try to update from the road. Today is my last night at my apartment. I’m really going to miss this place. but whatever, there will be other apartments that I will love just as much. Maybe even more! Everything is almost packed up. I’m picking up the moving truck tomorrow and driving up to Durham Saturday night to see some people up there, then heading to Indiana Sunday morning to pack up my future roommates stuff and then driving to NY. It’s going to be a long couple of days, but I can’t wait until we’re moved in and watching fireworks from a rooftop in Brooklyn. It’s nice to have things to look forward to :)

all moved in!! finally! it has taken me nearly 10 years to make this move. maybe more. I’ve always wanted to be back in NY ever since I left when I was a little kid. but I have really learned a lot in my years in wilmington. I learned how to never wait for things when you have the power to change/create them yourself. it has been really good to be able to live in a town where you have to start from scratch and build things from the ground up. but it’s a lot of fucking work and now I’m ready to take the things I’ve built to the next level. I can’t believe I finally live here.
