I got a juicer a couple weeks ago. Mostly I had just been juicing carrots, apples & celery (when I ran out of celery, I replaced with ginger). My Dad suggested I try a beet, so today that’s exactly what I did. 

1 beet

2 granny smith apples

4 carrot sticks

The beet tastes really earthy, but it has a lot of good benefits:

  • lowers blood pressure
  • boosts stamina & speeds up metabolism
  • reduces inflammation
  • provides magnesium, potassium, betaine
  • super high in vitamin C
  • improves blood circulation
  • combats skin infections, anemia and digestive abnormalities

Apparently beet pulp is really good for horses too. At least when I googled “beet pulp” to see if any recipes came up, everything that came up on the first page results were all about horses.
